Take the necessary steps to combat the imminent problem of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Carbon dioxide is the main GHG that contributes to climate change. It is also the GHG that human beings can most readily alter their production of.

How we live day-to-day produces our own carbon debt. That carbon debt can and should be reduced wherever possible...and the rest can be “offset” or cancelled. We partner with major corporations, and their consumers, to give them the opportunity to reduce their effects on climate change.

AutoCarbonX raises funds and coordinates efforts to reduce or “offset” the effects of global warming through green house gas (GHG) mitigation projects. The funding primarily comes from the sales of carbon offsets (or credits) through partnering with businesses that offer their consumers the opportunity to offset the projected amount of green house gases (GHG’s) that would be produced as a result of the use of the product or service they are purchasing.

Our focus is on working with businesses and manufactures to provide consumers the opportunity to purchase an appropriate carbon offset during the event of a retail purchase. However, there is an element of our funding that comes from environmentally responsible businesses or corporations that have exhausted their internal efforts to reduce their GHG emissions and are only left with the prospect of purchasing offsets for the remaining GHG’s they produce.

AutoCarbonX also solicits a portion of its funding from donations of concerned businesses and consumers that desire to support our efforts. By “pooling” the funds from all these varied sources, we can have a much greater positive impact on the environment and accomplish more than any of us could individually. There are current offset providers that fund efforts that are “business as usual”, or in other words, they would occur even without the efforts and funding of these offset providers. We offer consumers the opportunity to purchase carbon credits (or offsets) that we can ensure are truly “additional” and effective for the global environment by focusing on all four areas of GHG reduction.

We fund and/or coordinate projects in the areas of:
1) fossil fuel displacement projects
2) increased energy efficiency projects
3) education and awareness through public service announcements
4) forestation and reforestation projects.

The actual project activities are carried out either directly by us, contracted by us, or the organizations we select and audit to ensure quality and additionality of the GHG mitigation projects. The mitigation of GHG’s for the betterment of our environment is the sole reason AutoCarbonX exists. So, 100% of our efforts goes toward either the actual mitigation activities or the solicitation and generation of funding for those activities.

AutoCarbonX prioritizes funding and coordinating GHG mitigation activities in order of proximity to the State of Michigan and the United States of America so as to maximize the amount of GHG mitigation per dollar. However, GHG mitigation projects exist all over the globe and regardless of where the actual projects are carried out, those efforts benefit all humanity equally. AutoCarbonX is motivated by a genuine desire to curb the effects of global warming now so that the global legacy that we will be leaving our children and grandchildren will be a positive one.
